Hi Calvin 001_smile

There is nothing to forgive, (in my mind anyway). If there is anything to forgive in your mind then let it be forgiven.

Ah, Louis Berkhof... that takes me back! I used to spend many a happy hour with his Systematic Theology.
In fact Berkhof was the first theologian, ("theologian" in a formal sense), that I ever read. Like you, I had been a staunch dispensationalist, without being aware of other eschatological positions. Berkhof was a blessing in my life at that time because his work started a process in me that led to John Calvin and all the freedom and blessedness to be found there.

I will gladly look over the passage when I have time, Calvin. It may not be for a few days though, as I anticipate being extremely busy.

Love

John

Ken

I appreciate your detailed work on expiation and propitiation.  One person that did a good job of going through the intricacies of the atonement is John R.W. Stott in his Cross of Christ.  I appreciate the additional points and sources you went to.

Pastor James Riddle

You are most welcome.... I know about the resource from Stott and its been on my must read list for a very long time.... so many books... so little time :)

blessings,
Ken
